METODOLOGICAL APROACH FOR CREATING A SYSTEM OF INDEX MARKING AND CLASSIFICATION OF DEMINING MACHINES

Abstract

The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 08.03.2024 No. 271 “On the implementation of a pilot project on the implementation of mandatory certification of demining machines (humanitarian demining), related products, components and equipment” defines the procedure for the implementation of the pilot project and the requirements for DM (hereinafter referred to as DM). Attempts to classify DM by types are already being conducted by scientists in Ukraine, but this issue requires further scientific research and clarification of the classification. The implementation of the project involves further systematization of types of DM, the need to formulate requirements for all types of DM, both for combat and humanitarian demining.

The relevance of the issue of creating a classification system for demining machines is due to the development of the demining (humanitarian demining) in Ukraine and the need to create a clear and understandable classification of DM equipment for all participants in demining processes. It should be noted that development and application technologies are progressively developing, there are no distinct boundaries between the types of DM. Quite often, the same DM can perform different functions. Recently, in the development of design solutions, there has been a trend towards modular design of DM equipment for humanitarian demining.

Typically, in the field of humanitarian demining, remotely controlled machines are used for soil preparation procedures and carry out demining operations using chains with hammers, cutters, rollers, buckets and grabs.

The article proposes a classification of demining machines by types of remote control.

Also proposed an index designation system that can be used for the preparation of technical documentation, information materials, product catalogs. Also, this designation system can be used in scientific and technical activities and to simplify the economic accounting of DM samples.

The purpose of the article is to improve approaches to the classification of demining machines and provide methodological recommendations for the creation of an index designation system for specialized equipment.
